We decided to launch Maktabatee to help others who wanted to share the beauty of the Arabic language with the next generation. As parents, we found it hard to find relevant and interesting Arabic books for our kids, especially here in the US.  And that made our job of raising multilingual kids much harder.

With Maktabatee, we want to make it easier for you. As busy moms, we know how hard it is to go through the internet, trying to find and figure out what might be good for our little readers, especially when it comes to Arabic material. Our success depends on our ability to provide you with an Arabic immersion experience that you can easily create in your home. The benefits of multilingualism are well known-- from superior social skills, to increased cognitive abilities, and most importantly, the connection language creates with one's culture and heritage. But in order for that to be realized, a child should hear, feel and see that language in their daily lives. We hope the products we carry will make that possible for your children. Our blog will be dedicated to sharing captivating articles on Arabic and multilingualism, tips on how to help you in your journey to teach Arabic to youngsters, and resources that you can use in your home, at your school, and in your community.
